nine months old

Ben is so stinking adorable. He had his nine month check up last week. He's now 20lbs, 5oz (50th percentile) and 29.5 inches long (90th percentile). String bean. Even though he's only in the 50th percentile for weight, he's super solid and surprisingly strong. He's almost crawling. He gets up on all fours and rock back and forth. He can maneuver around about a four foot radius by pivoting on his tummy to get the toys he wants. Anna does not like this development. But, she's getting a little better at sharing. A little.

Ben's had a fever for the last few days. He just doesn't feel good. I feel so badly for him. He's pitiful. Check out that crocodile tear. One good thing that's come out of it is that he can't wear his helmet when he's running a fever so I've been able to cuddle his sweet little fuzzy head. Can't get enough.

Ben's starting to eat table food. He's taking a little while longer to warm up to textures than Anna did, but he's really into black beans. He even gets most of them in his mouth.
