Yesterday, President Obama declared Nashville a disaster area. To ensure we continue to have safe drinking water Davidson and Williamson county residents are under a mandatory order to conserve water. Many are still without power. Most, if not all, are without flood insurance. Damage estimates are in the billions. We have a long way to go to recover. But, I have never been so proud to live in Nashville - in the wake of devastation there has been no looting or major crime - only volunteering, rescuing, banding together, compassion, and soon... rebuilding.
